I'm getting new tires in back of my car and I want bigger(wider) and I'd like to know how wide i can go without looking mexican and having them stick out. The car's suspension is all stock, its a 1991, and it has the pony rims.
Any info would be appreciated greatly.

Thanks

245/50R16's would run very well. It will fill out better and give more traction. Any wider you'll be stuffing the rims, which will distort the footprint, and make it handle like crap.

I agree although I am going to try and put 245/45/16 on mine this summer! I thinkit may work or I may have to buy new wheels!! Has anyone done this??

When I bought my ponies, the guy that had them before me had 245/45/16's on there. In my opinion way too small of a sidewall (which makes it fit the wheel even worse than a 245/50) Plus I didn't like the idea of so much fender gap, it would look ridiculous.
