I have read through as many of the tire threads as I can possibly handle and I didn't see my specific question answered, so I apologize beforehand for asking yet another tire question...

I am running Steeda drop springs and 18" 2000 Cobra R rims all around. I can't remember but I thought that this rim was 9.5" although most threads in the forum say that its 9". Eyeballing it with a tape measure (and the tire still on) makes me think that they are 9.5" rims.

I am currently looking for some decent tires, the tires I have right now are cracking and all worn out from sitting this winter. I have 265/35/18 all around right now. Up front I have some rubbing issue under hard turning so I am not going to go any larger up front. I'd like to run 285 (or maybe 295) in the back. I really like the look of the KDW's but they don't make a 285/35/18.

Would 295/35/18 fit on the aforementioned rims and suspension setup without any rubbing problems or looking funny or should I stick with a 285 and find a different tire?

Thanks,
Drew

rubbing?

Thanks Kilgore! So I shouldn't have any problem actually fitting a 295 tire on there then. Would I have any rubbing issues? Sorry, I just want to make sure before I go spend all of my tax refund on tires!

they will fit with a little overhang but will still look great...and if you are lowered pretty far, they MAY rub on the sharp fender lip...BUT y2k cobra R rims dont sit out very far because of backspacing so you should be fine.... and if they did rub, it would just be on the outer fender lip which you can easily roll.
