So, I'm working on new tires and wheels for my 69 cougar. I'm looking at 255-50-16 rear and 225-60-16 on the fronts. Does anyone have an actual measurement or comparison height of a 255-60 VS 225-60 inch tire?

you can use the formula to figure it out

width divided by 25.4= width in inches
width X sidewall ratio X 2 + wheel size= height

or i'll just do it

rears 28.05
fronts 26.63

Or, you can visit tirerack dot com and look at the actual specs for many brands of tires. One brand can vary in size to another, not by much however. Food for thought.

Is anyone here running that particular combo with a picture? I found the rear tires on ebay, and once they are all mounted up, I own them...
