Titus Mustang stripe dimensions?

I guess I always assumed that these were simillar to that used on the 70' model cars, guess not though. Anyway, for what's it's worth there are actually subtle differences amongst the 70' cars (like mach vs. Boss) and they are slightly tapered. here's a nice chart for some measurmenet to go by or at the very least confuse your choices even further. :D

You are going to have a 302 and a 351W in there? Wow! :D

Yeah, I thought I would tie them together with tow straps and have a 10.8L twin-V16.

What? Use the the 302 for now and put the 351 in later? Nah, dont think that will work. :D

Thanks Pakrat, those are some interesting pictures. The only stripes I would consider other than the 'snake's are Le Mans, but I'm going for broke before I change plans. My '65 had Le Mans stripes anyway....

I still like the way the are laid out for the 70 better than I do the Super Snake dimensions (both old and new) as edbert posted. I just think that 1 3/4" X 1/2" by 15 1/2" (nose) 16" (cowl) balances better, of course your car is narrower than a 70 is too. The total width of all 3 dimensions provided to you is around 20" anyway no matter how you slice them so it's just going to be a decision of how to break it down and what you think looks best in the end.

Don't forget to post finished pics after you choose. :nice:

"HAD"?

:(

WTF?

When I had my previous Mustang, it was a '65 notch painted like a GT350 and thus had Le Mans while I had it and when I sold it. A dealer bought it who repainted and shipped it to Austria. I have no idea if the same paint style was used. Kind makes me sad looking back as that car was more of a restoration candidate than my '68. Had some uncommon options.

Yeah, the tapered stripes do usually make them look better. I have quite a bit of time to adjust the look of the stripes before I make them permanent. In fact, I'll probably make some out of masking tape to test a few changes in dimension. You can count on pictures :nice:.

I measured the stripes on the new Shelby coming out next year at a show and while I don't remember the width right now, I do know that from the hood to the bumper to the valance, each total width dropped 1/4 inch. I'm probably doing my 67 in black with white side GT stripes and (white) top Super Snake stripes width to be determined, but tapered.
