TKO600 gm synchromesh

I went down to the GM dealership to get some synchromesh and through my foolishness of only imagining there was one, I ended up with the wrong one... I fortunately didn't open it and compared part numbers and the one I need is 12345349. I returned the other synchromesh with friction modifier and the guy behind the counter handed me part number 1052931. He said that this replaced the 12345349(old part number) that I wanted. Is this true? Somebody please elighten me because this is getting rediculious. I really hate setting foot in the GM dealership. I was so quick to leave I forgot my receipt and the person behind the counter chased me down to give it to me.

The one you need is 12345349. I remembered the the first 5 numbers.

You could always go with Royal Purple's SynchroMax. Same exact thing and say screw GM dealerships.

Penzoil makes Syncromesh as well, I got mine at Autozone for about 6.25 a quart
