TO bearing retainer differences?

I was looking to get the MM OEM clutch cable and figured i would get a new TO bearing and retainer from them as well since mine is chirping. Everyone says get the steel replacement, but i wasn't sure about the difference between these:

This one is the Ford Racing part # M7050B for $38.95 at 5.0 resto.

Finally, MM lists a retainer by Ford, part #CL-1A for $54.95
The description says "The CL-1A for use in 1994-95 cars is the same style, but is equivalent to the OEM part on these years."
Equivalent to the OEM part?

One more thing - Is the TO bearing CL-4 on the MM website any good?

I'd have no idea about the retainers

however

I see the to bearing like a heater core

Lots of Hassle to take apart, replace, and put back together

You don't want to take a chance on an inferior part

I'd use a quality part like a ... Genuine Ford Part ... in this case :Word:

The ford racing part is all steel. the other is aluminum and steel. I went with the steel unit when I did my clutch last month.

I have had my Ford TOB on for over 2 years and I have not heard a squeak out of it.

I doubt the TOB retainer, i.e. the lever arm will ever give you problems. It's solid steel from the factory.

The picture of the Ford part looks like the plate that bolts up is aluminum and the shaft is steel. Is this correct?

Any other input out there?

Strange, I don't know what the difference is considering they both claim to have a steel shaft.

Whatever you do, don't get one with an aluminum shaft since they wear out faster and cause the dreaded TO bearing chirping over time.
