Good evening all,

I have a 94 gt that has about 200,000+ miles or so. I am having oil leave the motor in a way I am unable to see. No drips and I have not seen any real puffs upon start-up.
My real question is I am not loaded and would like to do as little as possible to fix the problem. What is the best way to decide whether it is seals in heads, rings or just the oil genie taking my oil. Just kidding on the last one.
Anyways all help or usefull opinions would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance,

John

I would suspect rings are worn since you are not seeing a start-up cloud...

However how much oil are we talking about here... my car (at 183k miles) has used about 1.5 qt of oil every 3k since i bought it at 123k miles...

If you are in this realm I would not worry about it...

The other part if this is to let us know the combo (are you stock)? Please put a quick signature together it will help everyone...

Should have updated signature now, sorry.
As for the oil I use about the same. Guess I am looking for an exscuse to do heads, just not sure if this would be a good idea on a motor in this condition. I was really looking for some type of testing I could do to verify if I replace heads it will fix problem or should I just save and maybe in a year or 2 replace the whole thing. $5000.00+ is a lot more than a set of heads.
