I am now thinking of selling my novi 1000 and buying an mp t70 turbo. What do you guys think? Would the single turbo to a lot of a hassle? I seen a guy on turbomustang with h/c/i 306 make 493rwhp and 515tq at 3500 rpms. I was thinking of putting a bypass valve on and keeping it a sleeper. I would just tell people its h/c/i, does this sound like a good idea or just keep my novi?

i say go turbo...

you can run dual exhaust with a single, turbo is a easy way to make power, i have a MP t70 sitting in my room right now, if you do it yourself it doesn't cost that much. as for being a sleeper, lol these things make more noise that a S/C, and as soon as you pop the hood it becomes pretty obvious whats goin on

I have full suspension so hooking insn't a concern. What I like the most is the fact that you can have almost full power at such a low rpm whereas I have to wind till 6grand to reach my peak hp. I know turbos are loud when they spool but if I use a bypass valve when no one will know its there during normal shifting.

you know how a semi kinda whistles when it takes off? thats how your car will sound lol. you can hear it abit. the best part about trubo's is with a manual boost control hooked to the wastegate, its bassically adjustable boost with the turn of a knob. go 8 psi on the street and if your motor/trans/everything can take it go to 15+ psi at the track

also whats with all the people wanting turbo lately? is there more ads in the mags lately?

They're making insane horsepower numbers with fat torque curves and they get great gas mileage, too. Not only that, but the pull like freight trains on top end. Higher gears especially, because turbos love to have a load put on them.

How much money am I looking into spending for a diy turbo? Say an mpt70, intercooler, piping from airflo.com, wastegate, reuse my shorty headers buy welding on the bracket or buying a used set, and w/e else is needed?
