Ton's of mods = bad track time?

First off,1.9 60's aint too shabby!! 2nd,bumping your timing wont make you a full second faster, you might get a tenth. Yeah, with those heads and custom cam( Hopefully you matched it well to the heads) you should be at least in the low 13's,even high 12's!! It sounds like you sank some cash into your stang.Do the next easiest thing.Spend a 100 bucks and get it dynoed. They can tell where the problem lies, tell you your perfect shift points, your HP at the wheels, and they can see if your combo is working. The cam you have mite require more gear. Was your maf calibrated for 24lbs. injectors?Your fuel pressure sounds fine, the dyno will tell you :nice:

your maf shouldn't be calibrated for 24 lbsers. they should be for 19s. the cobra computer takes out the slack. if you do it for 24s, it will mess it all up.

make sure that when u shift into second, you leave the revs up. it will bog if u don't. like make sure your not shifting while your spinning and the motor is reved.

If he has 24lbs injectors, its gotta be calibrated for 24lbs. injectors, rite?

Thanks for all the advice guys. I'll try Finish Line or maybe ATR for a dyno. There's not alot of places around here that will dyno tune a ford. My mass air is calibrated for 19 lb injectors. I never thought of it before, but I might need more gear for the cam. Off the top of my head the left is around .580

w/c&l meters, they use sample tubes for 19lb inj on cobras because they came stock w/24lb, and they used the computer to compensate, but w/pro-m's, , I thought they programmed for 19 and let the computer compensate, but not really sure.

I just got the mass air meter from www.bieberfever.com about a month ago. I tech told me the car wouldn't run right if it were calibrated for 24 lb. After all my mods, I thought I would feel a difference by changing out the stock meter. It was a waste of $200. :notnice:
