Man, I think you should leave it on. Or some type of kit. Whith those new wheels, the extra bulk of a kit makes it look that much meaner. A kit will definately set the wheels off more IMO.

As I said...I want to get it back on, but I need to wait a few weeks to a month or 2 to get the $$ to paint it. For now, I will get pics with those rims on it from the side and corners, and not include the front as much.

Im getting some estimates soon.
Thanks

Rob, you can just "hang" the front bumper cover on the car for the pics, I think it stayed in place by itself if I'm not mistaken.

As for the paint... I have no idea what process was involved.

That's true..if theyre rim pics, wont have much of the front anyway. But back to the painting..Ever since I remember EVER getting paint quotes, they always "remind" me that my E9 is a 3-step process. I think all the metallic colors are like that. But the Vibrant/Rio reds, black white, yellow and some others that are NOT metallic are a 2-step. But I think it's also a little to do with this area.

BTW..I think Ill get the wheel flares painted and put on at the same time. They should look good with the rims, especially if I get a spacer to "line them up" with the flare.

Thanks
RC

i agree with paul to just hang the bumper on for now and are you asking what the difference between 2 and 3 step paint is? if thats the question 2 step is primer and the color and clear is a mix 3 step is primer paint then clear i dunno if thats what you were asking but if it is then there you go

WHen the painters refer to "3 step" they dont count the prep/primer...It's the color only..

Base coat (reddish)
Pearl (metallic look)
Clear coat

2-step if color, then clear.

My problem with that kit are the sharp lines it introduces to a curvey body. I think the way to go would be Cobra front bumper cover & hood and Saleen rear bumper cover. S281 wing and Saleen sideskirts.

You mean all that in general, or for ME specifically. I would drop a 351 in there before spending another dime on body kit parts (except the hood)

My main reason for the post is to ask if it should be left off or put back on.

Just in general. For you, I like the stock one better.

Zero,
We can all agree to disagree, and I know a lot of guys dont like the kits, but I dont really see the curvy vs. str8 lines being an issue with this.

I need to see how the Rebels are gonna look with the kit.

Thanks
