tork boxes

my car is pretty shakey at the rear end and a mechanic told me its cause of my tork boxes. how much affect do those have on the cars stability, and does anybody know where i can get a rebuild kit for my tork boxes..thanks

Wild rides makes a really nice kit that "fixes" the torque boxes, UPR and Skinnykid racing also make reinforcements. As I said Rick91GT is your best bet.

You can get on eBay and look for reinforcements. The best thing for you to do is take the rear end out and re-weld the boxes back together.

In my car we dropped the rear end, installed "Battle Boxes" from Wild Rides, welded all the seams, and it's very solid now.

and if I install those battle boxes that should take care of any shaking that my rear end has or my car in general?? i punch it and the back of the car feels like it jumps... it doesnt just take off, and it pisses me off. Mechanic said it was tork boxs... where can u get those battle boxes??

It should stop the flex on launch and braking.

If you have general vibration at speed, there's a lot more variables that you should check like the driveshaft, tranny and motor mounts.
