tps and my problem

it runs steady when barely pushing the gas but as soon as the pedal gets to a certain position, the car starts cutting out very histerically. would the tps do this. is the tps on top of the throttle body or on the side.

cel light on? when sensors go bad usually light comes on. otherwise it can be anywhere from vacuum leak to a transmission problem.

no vacuum leaks for sure and i have a manual tranny but i don't see why that has anything to do with the engine cutting out and using a half a tank of fuel in 30 minutes. the engine light has been on way before this problem came up. it came on for a rear o2 sensor malfunction but it ran good still. now that the car was driven backwards into a bayou by my wife and got just the rear of the tank under water everything else failed. clogged injectors, fuel pump is loud now and clogged filter. anyways, i am stumped, i will be taking care of my injectors soon.
