On a new Edlebroch 70 mm T B , 94-95 model, How do you read/set the voltage. I am very familar with the ones up to 93. Edlebroch tech department just told me 6 VOLTS on the grey wire at idel??? 4.5 VOLTS on a grey/red wire at idel??? I find this hard to believe when I have always used .95 at idel. Can this be correct?

Yes, with a NON Ford TB, you should *check* the TPS voltage. Why? Well, because all of the OEM's TBs suck and they do not meet *Ford specs*. :) Also, if you adjusted the idle stop (even with a Ford TB), then you should check the TPS voltage at idle. WOT is set at ~2.5V over the idle voltage. It's set at startup.

The Vref should be between 4.4v and 5.5v.

As long as the TPS is between ~.5v and 1.2v at idle, then LEAVE IT ALONE!

BTW: The TPS is reset at startup AND while the car is running. Around 92/94, Ford added a diag check to see if the TPS voltage was above ~1.4v at idle and always stayed that high. See my sig for the book by Probst. Get it at any decent book store.
