Well im glad to say i finally met my goal. I wanted to go 10's on motor and i finally did it tonight on my last pass. we went to the track Wednesday and the fastest it went was 11.04 @ 122, we made 5 passes and nothing broke so thats good. I took the car back on Friday and ran a few passes ranging from 11.02-11.2. We messed with the shock adjustments and the 2-step launch, but not much seemed to help. The last pass of the night we decided to take the flex fan off the motor just to try to free up some power. It sure did, I went 10.83 @ 124.27

I'm so happy that i finally went 10's and they good thing is the car still has a lot more in it. The suspension is so out of whack right now, its just isn't transferring any weight. You can see the car just bouncing right now.

Well Ill live all the times for each run, and the video to go with that pass. When you go to YouTube, watch the videos in High Definition - its looks a lot better.

Thanks everyone for the kind words, im very happy with the car right now.

When i was racing Friday night on a few passes the car felt like it was just losing power after about 6500. It would pull real hard and as soon as it hit right about 6500 the motor would just stop pulling untill i shifted into 2nd and 3rd. Im not sure if the carburetor is the problem, maybe to small? I wanted to try to borrow a 850cfm from someone and see what it does with that. I did pull a few plugs to check for detonation, and they looked good.

Well you did say the engine was built for nitrous right? I know jack about nitrous and carbs, always been a fuel injection guy. Could that be why? Also IDK these engines could pull past 6500

Yes the motor is built for nitrous, it now has a custom nitrous cam and my converter is built tight for the nitrous also. I was told by the cam and converter guys that the car might be sluggish on motor, but when i spray it will pick up a lot.

Thanks man, The car looks smooth cuz it isn't transferring weight like i want it to. The car is going on the scales tomorrow and ill know for sure what springs i will need to run and maybe that might fix the problem, but thanks for the kind words.

The 10.83 @ 124 pass i had the tire pressure at 10PSI. I was told not to go any lower than that or the car will be unstable at the big end. I think I'm gonna go a bit lower on the PSI until it starts to get crazy...

looks real good. especially being a nitrous motor. that thing is loud! what suspension do you have? i recommend baseline stuff, youll need a stiffer spring in the back so you dont ball the tires of when you launch. you should go easy 9's on the baby shot.

I have all baseline suspension in the rear. I have all the Stage 3 stuff or w/e he calls his best stuff with all the 5/8" hiems and i have his relocated uppers with all the crazy bracing. Kevin Slabey "Owner of Baseline Suspension" is the one who recommended me to run the springs I'm running now. I need to send him these videos and let him see what the car is doing so he can give me some advice.

thats pretty sweet, i dont see why you cant go 10.50's if you keep trying to dial it in. I ran an 11.30 at 120 with the clutch fan on the car, i switched to an E-fan and im hoping that combined with dialing in my driving will get me into the 10's also. seems like we have similar goals... whenever i put a kit on my car i dont see a problem with running 9's, and neither should you, especially with a stall set up for smack, im sure that thing is gonna come alive on the bottle
