Ok well then my tastes have changed.

When i drive the Mustang around, i feel uncomfortable. It's loud, i'm sick of shifting, has a stiff ride, can't fit anyone in the back, has a small trunk, basically my needs have changed.

I'm gonna miss the Mustang don't get me wrong. But I'm happy with my new vehicle as it does everything i want and is a taste of something new for me after nothing but Mustangs since i was 16

nice daily driver.i've been debating doing this for years now but i feel like after a month of owning a car like that i would be bored.i know what you mean about picking up the dates and stuff but honestly girls seem to LOVE my car and if they thought it was stupid and the hobby then its not a girl i would want to date anyway,BORING.

also i like how the person above me says to post pics bc the avatar is hot.im pretty sure its a dude with a hot chick avatar haha.

Congrats on the new ride. We have a 05 chrysler town & country and a 07 Lexus IS250 for DD's and while the Lexus is super comfy and rides like a dream I would still rather bounce around and row gears in my Mustang, and im 35 Good luck.

Congrats on the new ride. Infiniti's are pretty nice, my wife has an I30 which isn't anywhere near what the G35 is and we love it.

That's the car that got me started on this

My sis has an '08 Lexus IS250. She never drives it and it's a lease. She maybe puts 3000 miles a year on a car. So i take it. I've taken it for a week at a time and loved it. I really hated giving the car back and getting back into the Mustang.

It's fun to row gears and such, but i had no prob driving the Lexus around. That's when i knew it was time for a change.

I've had a hard-on for infiniti's for a while. The IS250 didn't have enough power for me. Only 200HP with the AWD model. SO i went G35 because it had 280HP with AWD and could be had used for much cheaper.

I'm happy with the car...and know i will still be happy.

Not like i don't have a Mustang too...i have a 5.0L LX to bang gears in.

Is the motor in the IS a 4 or 6 cylinder?

2.5L V6

The G35 has a 3.5L V6

The IS350 has a 3.5L V6, but is RWD only

Just think, by the time you get the itch again, you will either grabbing an '11 an up model or an older 3V.

It's all good, you'll be loving on the G and then one day you wake up with an insane idea that you are no longer content. Then the sickness comes and you are searching CL's and what not for your next Stang. Give it about 5 years.

Even my uncle at 48 decided he needed another Mustang, bought an 08GT and he was a guy that couldn't keep a car more than a year. Funny part was he went from an 06 auto GT, to an 08 stick GT back to an 08 Automatic w/heated seats. Mmmm heated seats.

I was tired of a banger, have the notch if I need a fix, and went with an auto in my 04. I enjoy it just fine. I would have rather had a 197 with the 5R, but the price was right on the 04.

Keep the G mainly stock and enjoy it for what it is! This way when you go to trade it in, you don't have to try and sell all the mods at a 75% loss.

I feel your pain, man. I just traded in my mustang for the car in my sig.

What year Mustang did you have? I got 10,820 for my 2002 mustang... but that took some hard work.

Congrats on the new car- I know around spring time Im going to miss my Mustang like crazy...

Had an '03 with 70K miles on it

I found they are willing to go higher on trade-ins with new cars because they can just offer less incentives and make the money back.

I almost leased an '08 G35x and they easily gave me $9500 for my car with very little work at all. I could have prob gotten them for more.

But with used cars, they fight you harder because they don't have much wiggle room on their end with their car.

I found this out trying to negotiate 3 cars to buy. The one i bought was actually the 3rd i sat down to talk things over about.

don't touch it, it's a clean car. A slight tint on the windows(not limo) and your good to go.

Agreed. It's pretty "sweet" as it sits. I love it. I often think about buying another car except I'm keeping the Stang. I think about buying something that has 4 doors and more comfortable. It may happen just yet. Pearl02.

I drove it around all day today and it's definitely a sharp car. I think I am going to leave it alone. I definitely want to do tint though. It just feels too open, but only a slight tint. Legal limit is 35% and that's what I am going to go up to.

I may change the rims though. My tires are good, but I want a set of G35 coupe 19" wheels. Then i can toss some snow tires on the stock factory 17" wheels for the winter time.

The wheels are 5 x 4.5" like the Mustang...with a +45mm offset. Hmm...i have a spare bulllitt wheel...i wonder if it will fit

These are the rims i want to run. 19" G35 coupe wheels

I've spent the last day on G35DRIVER.COM - INFINITI G35 (SKYLINE) FORUMS, GALLERY, CHAT, AND MORE. learning all I can....more time than on stangnet sadly

The Ray's 19's are nice. Forged and they weigh about 19lbs each. Too bad they don't look good on the 07-08's (look a bit small) or I'd already have got a set by now.

You'll learn that the motor doesn't do well with n/a mods, just like the 4.6. 5HP here, 5HP there, ass load of money for it too

I'm loving my 08, that's for sure.
