Went to get fuel in the car and ended up meeting a deer. It’s breaking my heart seeing the car like this. I am in search of a good condition header panel assembly and passenger front fender. If anyone has one in the Northern Illinois, Southern Wisconsin, or Western Iowa area. Please let me know. I need to get this car put back together ASAP. I have it slated to ship to Texas in 4 days. I would rather it go as a complete car then in pieces.

I reached out to the local Facebook Mustang II groups and got a few responses. I’m supposed to meet a gentleman tomorrow who has a good header panel and possibly a good fender.

I’ve already made all the necessary repairs to the radiator support. So if he has a good header panel and fender. I can get my car back together tomorrow. Won’t have time to do paint before it has to go to Texas of course. But at least it will be a complete car again.

That sucks! I have a header panel as well, but it's packed away somewhere and I probably couldn't get it to you so quick. I don't have a spare fender though. Hopefully the other one works out! Now, the million dollar question: what's it heading to Texas for? You've had that car a long time, I can't believe you've sold it....?

Absolutely not. I will never sell this car. I am moving to Texas. I’m just waiting for my house to sell here in Illinois. Until then, I am moving all my toys to Texas in advance and storing them in an aircraft hangar until i can get there myself.

Well, she is more colorful but every bit as sexy. She can now be transported as a complete car. I’m going to change her name to Patchwork.

The M II car groups are amazing people. I put out a request on facebook with the local Mustang II group and I had several replies of people with parts wanting to help.

I met the nicest guy that has so many parts for these cars. I was in shock at his collection. He had everything I needed and he was more than fair with his prices.

I could not have got her put back together so quickly if it wasn’t for the comradery of Mustang II community.
