tranny swap question

i have a 96 gt with the stock t45 and a king cobra clutch setup, the tranny has whined for about 16k miles. i recently got my hands on a t3650 for a great deal and wanted to know beside the 11" clutch and the shifter what else needs to be changed if anything else. and if anyone in the world knows if therese a way to convert the t3650's electonical speedo to my car's setup for a mechanical speedo??

You can use your same clutch setup.

Driveshaft length *might* be different. Not sure. Cant help on the electronic speedo thing...

Your kinda shooting yourself in the foot going with the T3650. For as cheap as the T45's are to rebuild, and as tremendously expensive the 3650's are to rebuild, Id stick with the T45.

I put a new t45 in my 96 with an electronic speedo. I am using an extended range SpeedCal to fix the speedo, it has been working fine.

Can you please elaborate further? What exacly did you do? Adding a device that hooks up the mechanical speedo drive of your '96 to the electical output of the T3650?
I am considering a similar swap and will run into the same problem...
