So i have a tremic and i'm looking to replace it with an auto. What kind do i wanna go with? I have a lead on a C6 and a C4 both are early 70's and the guy said they were set up for a early 70's torinos. So with these i dont need the auto computer then right?. He also claims they are column shifts, so how hard would it be to make them floor shifts? I'm putting it in a 93 ssp witch use to be a auto when it was a texas patrol car. I of course want to go with a valve body and trans brake as well as a stall converter. I will be putting it behind a 302 with 300/338 at the wheels but (HOPEFULLY) next year behind the 408 w about 500/500 on spray! By doing this will the trans bolt to the 408 and the 302? So if i figured right then i'll need 1: shifter 2: cross member 3: cable? Just to make either one work? Give me your input? peace
