Needing a trans cooler and I was wondering what size would be good for my car. I have been looking at 15,000 GVW 11" x 4 1/2 wide or 19,000 GVW 11" x 7 1/2 wide.

Are those too big hight and whith wise? OR do i need to be looking for a smaller GVW?

If you'll be doing boost later and you live in a hot climate, I'd go for a 30K BTU cooler. Stacked plate coolers are self-regulating, so overcooling should not be an issue.

Good luck.

It depends where you'll mount yours and how you mount it. My first one was like 8x11x.75" and IIRC the 30K unit was 11x11x1.5".

I installed the second version on the driver's side, in front of the condenser. I had to modify the PS cooler and the hood support-rod for MY particular install. YMMV. I recommend that you cut out a piece of cardboard that's the size of the cooler you want to get (add in material for mounting brackets and consider the path of the lines) and hold it where you want to install the cooler. This help you see what kind of space concerns you will have.

Good luck.
