just had a king cobra clutch kit installed, and new pilot bearing. Also put in synthetic trans fluid. The car also has a b&m short shifter. It makes a whurring noise that increases with speed only, not rpm. Sometimes it also has a little trouble going into gear and sometimes grinds.

it has a 103,000 miles but the previous owner said he rebuilt the tranny

car has no problem once in gear, and most of the time it goes into gear with no problem

doesnt bother me, but i wanted to know if there was something wrong with the tranny

thanks

did it do this before the king cobra install? i've had 2 or 3 do that and it was the synchros going bad inside the trans. what type of fluid did you put back in it? anything but merc/dex3 may cause a problem according to the T5 repaire manual. was the throwout bearing replaced? a bad one or one that wasnt lubed could do that. also if you have anything but a perfect input bearing retainer, smooth, no pits or rough edges may cause t.o. noise.

yeah tob was replaced, fluid was put in by shop so i hope they put in the right stuff. It did it a little before, but seems louder now. Oh well i dont have the money to fix it anyways.

if it breaks it breaks, and i'm up ****s creek w/ out a paddle

thanks for the info
