Transmission fluid lines

Is there any reason not to run large diameter lines from the tranny to the cooler? The stock ones are like 1/4 or 5/16 and I was buying a roll of 1/2 inch line and the assorted fittings and connectors.

I was thinking maybe a pressure drop or something might be seen, or that I might screw something up. Anyone know if it is okay?

Good question. Wouldn't the stock fittings on the trans and radiator be a natural restriction. I guess a lot depends on pressure for fluid movement.

I doubt there would be any improvement as the cooler will restrict the flow. The pressure is not really an issue as output is at low pressure to begin with. Routing would be a problem. I'd suggest a set of good stainless lines.
