Transmission new or rebuilt

Looks like I am going to upgrade to the t5z very soon. I have been doing alot of research and found that alot of places are building the 295 geard HD units for like 800-850 with exchange. Is it worth spending thaat price of just buying new for 1150 from jegs. I can spare the 300 bucks but I would like othere opinions on this. Also I am not sure my core would be acceptable untill they inspect it which if it wasnt I would only be saving like $100. Any input would be apreciated.

For the same ~1200, Bob Hanlon could build your t5 to a much stronger unit than you will get brand new.... that is the route i suggest. t5's are weak, and knobody knows them better than bob.
