Drivetrain Tremec TKX 5-Speed

I " think" the stock one works with a new transmission mount... I could not use mine as it was a for a single exhaust..
The stiffler one fits really nice.. Its small and up out of the way...

I believe so, but not positive. I thought I read you had to modify it slightly. You'll need a new mount anyway, and I was so far into it I wasn't going to skimp on the old crossmember and just bought the Stifflers.
new crossmember mounts welded in or just a new crossmember mount? I'm new to some of the trans lango as I've only removed one when I disassembled my wrecked 95 and when I put the engine in the 94 the trans was already in place.

I'm assuming the crossmember mount is the mount with the bushing that buffers in the middle of the crossmember but was reading up on the coral where a guy welded in the new crossmember mounts to the subframe/chassis.

ok too easy then if the stiffler one is a direct bolt up I'll just go with it....

I did not have my exhaust on, so I bolted up one side, then I swung it up and bolted on the other side and the bolt holes for the transmission lined right up... Kinda like things are supposed to work....
There is a " kit " sold for this which is nothing more that two very thick plastic bushings that lift the transmission up a bit for driveline alignment... I have one installed on my car but from what I can see it might vary from car to car.... Found a decent pic of mine installed with a TKX...

thanks for the pic and my exhaust will be off as well.

in post # 24 though Sparky said the kit is needed since the T5's is higher or something

Stock double jump cross member will work with the 3350. I used a stock double jump from a Mustang in my T-Bird with an early TKO with zero issues.

I will say that the Stifflers piece is waaaaay nice and like Limp said and showed it takes up a lot less space. If I do a T56 in the Bird that’s what I will use.

yeah i'll likely use the stocker if the 3550 doesn't have any issues that isn't too expensive to repair but if I have to buy a Tkx I'll go with the stiffler

I tried to find one to attach here but I failed... The Kit is like five bucks, so not a real big deal...
