tremec trouble

I have a tremec t56 and here in the last couple of days it doesnt want to go into third real well. It feels like it wont totally seat, and then sometimes it will pop out, also in neutral i can here it spinning real rough its not grinding but it doesnt sound right. Any ideas would help thanx

if the gear pop out it's probably the same probleme as in the 3650. I didn't ear much about those t-56. I had one in my 94 z-28 maybe not exactly the same but was tremec 6 speed...i think the only difference is the input shaft. It was working like a charm.

I think that tremec tried some new stuff on the syncro like in the 3650 and it doesn't seem to work that good on the long run..

i'm sure if it's still poping out then bring it to the dealer that is not normal...even for a dealer.

Have you tried the SVT forum? You might have better luck there - no one in here has a T56 unless they did a swap

do you have a aftermarket shifter??? if so you may need to adjust the stops on it

Yeah pro 5.0 but it just started doing this in the last couple of days and the sound seems ab-normal. i'll try er' though.

ya know, i just have a hunch that it just needs to be adjusted. i certainly hope that's all it is. cause if not it could get expensive. but like i said i have a feeling a stop has worked out of position. one of my buddies had something similar happen & that's all it was
