Hey folks, I am thinking about getting a Steeda Tri Ax Shifter for my car. Will I still be able to use the factory leather boot that is on the stock shifter? If not, what covers the shaft, if anything? Will I still be able to use my Bullitt Shift Knob that I like so much? How much does it shorten the shift pattern? Will it help fix the 2nd - 3rd high RPM grind that I get sometimes, It seems that it doesn't want to go into 3rd as easy as it once did. I have but 10K on the car. And lastly, is it a pain in the ass to install? Sorry for all the questions, but we all know TR3650 sucks and I am tired of its poor performance. Thanks.

the only thing i would change is the shift boot. it still works fine w/ the tri-ax, but since the steeda product is so much shorter, the boot kinda bunches up. ive been looking for a boot replacement, but to no avail. anyways, enjoy your better shifts.
