Working on putting a T-bird turbo motor in my 93 4-banger. Where I need help from this crowd is installing the throw out bearing in the T5 tranny. I can't for the life of me get the new one installed. Hoping someone could give me a tip or trick. I can't get the dogbone on the pivot ball while also getting the end of it to slip onto the throw out bearing on the input shaft. Any advice?

I'm not entirely sure if I follow what the difficulty is? It should just go into the clutch fork and the fork goes on the pivot stud. After that, you just slide the transmission in through the clutch fork and into the bellhousing.

Thanks for the replies. I was making it more difficult than it had to be.

Now my problem is trying to get the tranny installed back on the engine. I believe the input shaft is coming up to the clutch disk and instead of sliding on its turning with it. I can't mate the tranny all the way up with the block. Should I install the bellhousing first and then the tranny onto the bellhousing? My back is killing me and I can't take much more of the this! Getting very frustrated. I even ended up ruining a brand new pilot bearing by wallowing it out with the input shaft. Had to take everything back apart, rent a bearing puller and do it all again. The engine and tranny are out of the car by the way.:(
