So i recently bought a 94 Mustang GT 5 speed, has some mild upgrades like intake, headers, exhaust, msd ignition. It will start up good almost all of the time, but the last few mornings that ive been driving it to work, it will crank for a few minutes before it finally catches and starts running. I can smell fuel and i always get it to turn on, it just depends on how long i feel like sitting there and cranking the engine. It did this once and night and sometimes will crank for a few seconds and then turn on but usually it starts up pretty good, but this few minutes of cranking every morning is starting to suck. I live in mass and i feel like this is related to the colder mornings we've been having. Thanks in advance guys.

also, this morning i noticed it started when the oil pressure gauge hit atleast the middle, but it only hit that after cranking for about a minute. i need to do an oil change anyways since i just bought it, i dont know what kind of oil is in/ if its any good to begin with.

I've read many posts over the years where the MSD ignition box fails without warning. I;ve never used their stuff, so I have no other advice; perhaps some one else can pitch in and suggest how you can bypass the unit and see if that helps.

Pull the codes.

Seems like most folks run 10W-30 in the summer and 5W-30 in the winter. When you do it, remember that it has two drain plugs. Motorcraft filters are a very good filter for the price.
