Truck rims on a Stang?

Just looking for the answer not 50 posts' of "why". :D
Here is what I have going in: LSC rear axle with disks, SN95 conversion up front. The rims I'm looking at are truck rims and they come in the correct lug pattern. My guess would be finding the correct back spacing. Do Ranger rims fit on the Stang?
I don't mind rolling my fender lips if necessary (I know the LSC is a wider axle).
Thanks!

The offsets are going to screw you up

The rear wheels are going to stick out 1.25" EACH SIDE more than the front wheels. I have no idea what BS and offset the truck wheels are, but it's gonna look weird

Yeah, but aren't Lightning wheels some weird kind of METRIC size, rather than the 5 x 4.5" pattern like the SN95's...? That would involve using some crazy adapters and/or some exotic one-off kind of hubswap of some kind ... which would hardly be worth it, just to be able to fit some rims on there...

As far as Ranger and Explorer rims and the like ... ehhhh, maybe. I mean, you can get 'em for dirt cheap from boneyards and such, I'm sure, and they'll plug right onto a 5-lug setup ... but the backspacing might be an issue on a Fox. They'll stick out too far - their backspacing is a bit too shallow.

I've seen Ranger/Explorer rims swapped onto Crown Vics and such that look VERY nice, but those have very similar backspacings because they usually have really tall, thick-sidewalled tires, anyway - they've already formed the fenders on those vehicles to account for that sorta thing. Mustangs were made with much shorter tires and so they made the backspacing on those rims deeper so they'd still tuck safely under the fenders.

Anyways, most Ranger/Explorer rims are going to be 15" x 6" or 15" x 7" rims, on average - you wouldn't be able to fit tires any wider than you would on, say, a set of 10-holes or turbines, especially considering that the fenders would be an issue (even with the fender lip rolled in).

Not trying to kill your idea, but just some things you probably wanna consider, first...

The reason I'm asking about the Ranger rims is not necessarily to use the stock rims, but to see if its remotely possible to use truck style rims on the Stang. I guess the offset is going to be the magic question.
So, what is the best offset for 9 inch rims, looking to go about 17" at the most(keeping in mind the LSC swap)??

staggered offsets unfortunately

There is no one wheel that is 9" that will fit nicely front and rear using the lsc setup. It's going to stick out past the fender lip in the rear

Yeah, but aren't Lightning wheels some weird kind of METRIC size, rather than the 5 x 4.5" pattern like the SN95's...? .

97-03 f150s are 5x135mm.

will ranger/explorer/broncoII wheels bolt on? yes. there was a guy at my old tech school who had about a 97 or so ranger with oem 17" bullits on it and it looked badass (they were a little sucked in though iirc). dunno about the other way around.

So whats a good backspace with this setup,,, the 79-93 or 94-04? I know the 05+ have a different backspace as well.
Ideas?

Both

ideally you want the S197 (05+) offset for the rear and the SN95 or fox offset for the front.

You could run 2005 all the way around and then use a 1" spacer in the front. I personally wouldn't though

If you really want to run the LSC rear, might i suggest this modification

otherwise you will need two offsets.
