OK, I have the following: BBK CAI, stock MAF & TB, 94 cobra, stock shortblock (inc cam) and then I have some shorty headers, O/R H, Flowmasters with dumps.

So if I picked up some GT40 heads what kinds of HP gains am I looking at with and without Tune? What do I need to do the swap and what does all that cost?

My goal is to do the heads sooner rather than later, run them as is (no tune) for a while, then maybe do cam and tune later...

So I obviuously need heads and gaskets, then do I also need head bolts or can I re-use the stockers?

Thanks... My car is just in need of a little more OOOMPH... :D

Always remember when you tear down the motor to do heads or cam you gotta
include the cost of 6 quarts of oil, filter, gaskets, coolant, etc.

If you did heads first and then later on did a cam ......

You're gonna have to lay out that amount of cash ... twice :(

True, I know that about the gaskets and stuff.. I am jsut working to understand what all of that stuff costs.... realistically...

Just bench racing right now but I would love to look for osme GT40 or GT40P heads then put them on this winter when the car doesn't see as much street duty...

If you want to avoid a tune then you are gonna be doing the dizzy twist
thing and fuel pressure thing.

Here is the bottom line staying with that option.

You will render those 19's useless fairly quick with new heads and their
supporting parts :Word:

Once you move to 24's or larger with matching caled maf .....
Your likely-hood of encountering drivability gremlins will increase.

That is just something you need to be prepared for ;)

How much power can you make with all OEM stuff

Just look at various OEM parts based combos :D

Most will go around 240-260 with no cam
and
a maybe 10 to 20 more with one

If you are looking at 280 or better without a tune ...
Its possible ... but ... unlikely IMHO
