Thinking about running a HX40 but not sure on what cm hot side i should be looking for.Its in a aod powered car with shift kit and 3200 stall,gt40 heads and tfs 1 cam and gt40 upper/lower.

16cm^2 exhaust side is sufficient, PDR sells one non-wastegated for $165

That way you can use an external wastegate. HX40's in good condition are pretty hard to find. If you can fork out the extra cash go with a T04E. BG sells them on their site for $575. By the time you find one in good condition and change the housing, or rebuild a bad one you will be spending around that much and not have a turbo like the T04E.
