.090 overbore is a 314. I'm guessing he's running a 3.25 stroker crank now.

336 is easy - that's a 3.340 stroke with a 4" bore.

Got me on a 314. Probably an overbore of .080" and a stock stroke. Either way, I'll look him up.

Pretty sure 314 is .090 over.

336 sounds like a 331 stroker crank and a .060 overbore.

.090 overbore? I think 2 Fluidyne's mounted side by side might cool that down, lol.

After a little research, I learned that a 314 is a .030 overbore with a 3.075 stroke. And yeah, I also think the 336 is probably a .060 overbore & a 3.25 stroke.

With a Dart block many run .100 overbore.

Dart blocks come in two bores, 4.000 and 4.125, and I have heard they can be bored out as much as 4.2" but like a 302W, you can bore it out to .060 and even larger but it's recomended to stay under that. I am sure that those guys with the big fast turbo systems probally are running something else besides 302W blocks.

Turbo is the way to go, no doubt. It is also very pricy, but then again you get what you pay for. I am at a crossroads, building a Dart 9.5" deck motor, most likley a 427cid nitrous motor, but then again, all those bottles is going to add up, and it won't be there except when the bottle is open and loaded. I am thinking turbo, but the cost chokes me. Turbo, intercooler, BOV.... it adds up fast. A basic junkyard setup is cheaper, but then again, a well setup turbosystem is much better.

Hellion is definatly the kit I would go with if I do in fact decide to build a 347...you will NEED a dart block or r302 block if you want to run a good amount of boost, but from what Ive see nthe hellion kit is one of the best, most complete kits out there!

Ok here's the math worked out on some of the combinations mentioned:

4.080" bore + 3.000" stroke = 313.78 = ~314 c.i.
4.090" bore + 3.000" stroke = 315.32 = ~315 c.i.
4.030" bore + 3.075" stroke = 313.79 = ~314 c.i.

4.000" bore + 3.340" stroke = 335.77 = ~336 c.i.
4.060" bore + 3.250" stroke = 336.60 = ~337 c.i.

4.000" bore + 3.000" stroke = 301.59 = ~302 c.i. = 4.94L != ~5.0

Since I brought up and am building the 336, I'm telling you that I'm using a 3.340 crank. I might overbore it, but right now I'm leaning on a 4" bore.

This is a fun one too (the most bore you can run, within dart's specs, in a dart 302-based block with 8.2" deck:

4.185" bore + 3.25" stroke = 357.6 c.i.
4.185" bore + 3.40" stroke = 374.1 c.i.
4.185" bore + 3.45" stroke = 379.6 c.i.
4.185" bore + 3.50" stroke = 385.2 c.i.
