I found an 88 turbo coupe that supposedly needed a head gasket. They wanted 900 but I showed him 550 cash and he said he would get the title signed by his neighbor and then sign it to me. I thought it was a stick but its an automatic. Body is excellent except for some surface rust on the driver fender about the size of a quarter. When it was idling, I heard a faint tapping sound that wasn't constant, it fluctuated and it sounded as if something was lightly hitting on a rubber hose. Nothing was hitting a hose though. My dad said he heard a car run that was missing a piece of the belt before and he said it sounded like a knock and then I remembered that there was a whole rib missing off of the end of the belt. Should I go through with this buy? Thanks
