dude that flag on top is the sickest thing.was that car in one of the stang mags?anyway i only have about 1k into everything including the turbo.i got everything else off ebay.the intercooler, bov and a cheap boost controller all brand new i paid 180 bux to my door, the wastegate was 110 to my door used for one weekend so pretty much brand new.i spent more on the piping than anything else, and the turbo was 580 to my door brand new.thanks for all the comments so far guys.:)

Oh, sorry man i didn't mean to hijack your thread like that....it kinda snowballed :D Point is, turbo is the $hit and it's really unbeatable if you have the craftsmanship to get a kit together for cheap.

im not mad about the hijack, that notch in badass.anyway im gonna run it back alittle into an xpipe then strait through muffs with side exhaust.i bought u bends then cut to fit,the passenger side header is feeding the driver side.i have it running behind the motor.i'll get a pic of the crossover so you can see how i did it.88 GT 5 OH,what happend to yours?i build mine pretty stout so i shouldnt have any probelms but you never know.im pretty confident on my build.any other ?'s or if you want to see any other pics let me know and i'll take them and get them up.again thanks for the props

I don't mean to hijack the thread as well, but since you're on the subject of home built turbos, I figured I'd show this twin turbo notch from around me. I don't know him personally, but I've seen it around at car shows and burnout competitions, he is teh win when it comes to burnouts.
1993 Mustang lx Noth Back, Red

poped a head gasket i think. might (hopefully) just be the lower intkae gasket. do yourself and invest in a turbo blanket and some heat wrap

wont getting off all the rubber mess up the paint or what?
Haha, who knows, he doesn't clean it off. The car has a little more rubber on it every time I see it. As you can see the trim is ripped off around the rear fenderwells also from when the tires blow. Soon after we took the pics of the car on the burnout box, he did his burnout, up into 4th, foot through the floor on the rev limiter for a good couple minutes. After the tires blew he kept it to the boards until they shredded and the right rear blew out the quarter window. I'm willing to bet he hasn't replaced it yet. The pics are from the Summer Nationals car show in Mass, and the day we were there, he entered all 3 burnout competitions of the day, and I'm assuming he did the same for the other 3 or 4 days of the show, that car takes a serious beating.
