Tweecer users - need your help!!

I have a 95 gt that I am installing a 351w into. I have an 80mm pro-m maf that is calibrated for 30lb injectors. I am going to running 36lb injectors. What do I do in the tweecer to make this work?

WHen I changed from 30's to 36's...I just changed the Slopes on the injectors in the scalars screen. I havent been on my TwEECer for awhile, so I forget what the numbers are exactly...one is 20% more than the other.

THe TwEECer boards for sure can give you the EXACT numbers.

Yeah change the scalars for the injector slopes to 36 and one 20% higher but i dont remember which one either. Then go into the functions and go to maf transfer and the click load MAF then load prom30 thats a good starting point.

I just looked at a stock config on my PC....It has the LOW slope 20% higher.

SO set the High on 36, low on 42....That should do it....We fired my car right up without missing a beat...Joe and I were like

Drove it home 30+ miles with no probs

Ok, thanks guys. I have the flow sheet for my meter that I entered into caledit and converted it. I already checked it for the 'random zero' and it has none, so I will set my slopes as ya'll said and see how it goes. Thanks for the help.

Well, the only thing is this will be the first fire up of the new motor and I have to break the cam in so I really need it to start and be able to run for a good while with minimal problems.

Yeah I know Alan pretty well and it will get dyno tuned. I just need a base tune to get it there.

There is a lot to do.

Start with the Scalars:

1. Adjust idle rpm to something that seems stable.
2. Set checksum base address to zero
3. If it's not 302c.i., adjust displacement
4. Injector slopes (high = injector size, low = alittle more, like they said about 20% more. You will adjust this untill your KAMRF values are perfect)
5. Adjust fuel shutoff values (if you want)
6. Set rev limiter values
7. Set fan temps

Then move to Functions

1. Enter MAF curve
2. Adjust dashpot decay rate (if you want to)
3. Adjust ISC Neutral Idle Air Flow

Then go to the Tables

1. Adjust exhuast pulse delay if you have longtubes
2. Change injector timing based on your cam and cam advance
3. Tune the timing and fuel tables <------- This step is the meat of the tuning

Anyway, there's my take on it. Those are the things I commonly do, but everyone does something different. But anyway you cut it, the tuning will be iterative. You will tune then go back to scalars and start all over and make small adjustments untill you get everything just right.

Anyway, I think that is waaay off from what you were looking to know.

"all you gotta do is tune the timing and fuel tables" Pretty str8 forward I still havent done this, but IM gonna be putting in the Snow Meth Inj kit Soon, so I may have to start learning.

Yeah I don't know a whole lot about doing the timing and fuel tables, but I just happen to know someone with a dynojet and a wideband, so hopefully I can get it right.

Zero Signal, I got a question for you (or any other twEECer user really).

If I have 30lb injectors on my motor, and my MAF is calibrated for 30lb injectors, is there any need/benefits from setting the injector slopes with the twEECer?

From what I understand, a calibrated MAF is basically a MAF that sends the computer a "tricked signal" so the computer thinks there is more/less air coming in than there really is. So if I then proceed to set the injector slopes and tell the computer I'm using 30lb injectors, won't it get wrong readings again?

Its not "tricked" per se it just takes more air to create the same voltage as with the stock piece. So with the stock one 3.5v equals say 600kg/hr on the the 30lb calibration 3.5v is now 800kg/hr to make up for the difference in the injectors. If you have a pro-m maf the best bet is to put in your current injectors into the slopes and then load the pro-m maf curve that matches up with your maf. This gives the computer the facts and will help your drivability.

Yeah thats what I was thinking. I've only heard that you just enter everything in anyway and it works fine but I wasn't 100% sure since I haven't done it myself.

WhiteDevil, so you're saying I would simply load the high injector slope with 30, the low injector slope with 37.5 (20% more than 30), then load my MAF curve with the Pro-M 30lb maf curve data? Sweet! I have the software already, and have been adjusting a few things to get a feel for it. I saved a new file that I could flash to the twEECer with some changes like: idle, fan temps, injector slopes, maf curve etc.

Yeah, my setup was easy cause i have a 19# calibrated MAF and 24# injectors so i just used the cobra tune. But i ahve been doing research because im pegging my MAF so i need to get it moved up to a higher calibration and then i plan on stepping up to higher injectors too.

Quick question about disabling the EGR and smog systems:

Are they scalars or functions or what? I downloaded a tutorial for tuning, but none of the images are there, and for EGR and smog, all it has are before and after images. Where are they and what do I need to change?
