Twin intank pumps or single intake with a pusher?

Some people have been able to hit 500 with a single 255, but it always sucks to leave the tuner at 450 because you "ran out of fuel".

I didn't know you could setup twin in-tanks on fox's. I know with modular cars you can buy hats to hold twin pumps, but I'm curious now myself.

Edit: I found a fuel pump calculator, I can't vouch for how accurate it is.

At 10psi and 500rwhp with stock fuel pressure. It rated a demand of 322lph.

I know with modulars you can, too. That is why I ask. My buddys have some how modifed their hats to fit the second one. Looks like a pusher.

Honestly I would be be fine with 480rwhp, I sort of want the 500rwhp dyno chart though.. :D I just want to piss my uncle off. Yes I know dyno numbers mean nothing.

they say they are rated for over500 (at the crank) they say in quotations. that probably means your gonna might have trouble with that at the wheels. my roommate has a camaro:notnice: and he put twin pumps in his tank on a hotchkiss switch, when he hits a certain rpm the second pump kicks on. it is pretty sweet and it works great. he is probably pushing closer to 650rwhp. I been wanting to try taking two outside of tank pumps then have a hose from each of them going to the tank, and then have them "T" after going threw the pumps and back into the original fuel line. any of you guys ever try that?

you should be fine with a single 255 HO and a T-rex or bbk. It's been done time and time again. If you are really concerned and trying to push over that then you should look at an A1000 or similar and upgrade all the lines etc.

I am going to upgrade the lines as well. I really don't want to spend the type of money on an A1000 if I don't have to. I might go with I T-rex like you recommend, on a switch. Aren't the T-rex pumps really loud?
