Just swapped my coupe to a 5 speed. After I sold my Cobra I missed rowing the gears. Much more fun to drive now.

Best mod I ever did to my LX was ditching the AOD and going manual.

However...if I bought a second mustang (convertible) I wouldn't mind the AOD.

Nice looking notch! Good deal on the 5-speed, I totally agree. Much more fun to grow your own in a fox body stang than have a slushbox.

I did many a 5-speed conversion years ago. That is one reason I wanted to find an original 5-speed car this time. Now I'm old and fat and getting under the dash and contorting around items is not as easy as it used to be.
