two questions

question 1 - when i rev the engine up to like 3 grand an dump the clutch and burn out why do i sometimes smell clutch afterwards? is this normal or am i doing something wrong?

question 2 - my mach 460 sound system has been acting wierd, sometimes when i turn on my cd player the side door speakers let out this droning sound and wont stop until i turn the stereo off, it usually goes away in a little while if i turn it on and off a few times or just leave it off and wait. i dont know what the hell this is so please help.

theres some at the top a little, like when i rest my foot on it it goes down a little but its not disengaging, i can feel when it disengages when i push it down hard cause its nice an tight

I think since you are reving to 3k, the short time between no engagement and full engagement is enough to slip the clutch disc. Do you have a vert? I noticed that w/ the top down, the number of times I could smell things on the road increased. Everyone's exhaust is in lungs now!!! :damnit:

When I rev it to 1500-2000, and let out the clutch a little slower than normal, I will smell the clutch. Since you are at 3k, that will only increase the chances of clutch disc burnoff.

I think the amp that runs your front speakers is toast. Are you sure it's only your front speakers. If it is, the amp that runs them is toast, and the head unit is bad. But if all of the speakers are making the noise, the head unit may be bad.

How many amps are there in the 460 system? Is there just one?

I pulled 2 amps out of my convertible with mach 460 sound. If you need an amp let me know, i dont need them.

yea its two amps, it only happens sometimes, once in a while, like maybe once every 2 weeks, ill guess ill have to deal with clutch smell and droning stereo sometimes, i dont give a crap anymore, if it breaks it breaks and i fix it.
