hey guys, I have a freind that has 04 vert V6 mustang. Its pretty much stock besides the rims/tires.

i was talking to her about her brakes, and I wasnt sure how her v6 brakes are diff from my GT brakes. How hard would it be to upgrade her brakes? what does she have now? what would it take to go bigger?

And if she did not re calibrate her computer after putting on bigger tires, what would happen with her odometer? I think stock she had 16 or 17's and she has 20's now I think.

Do you know of any cheaper mods that will help give her car some power?

Thanks :SNSign:

CAI, exhaust for some cheap mods.

The GT and V6 brakes are really not any different.

For a difference she will and yourself would need to upgrde to either the Cobra/Bullitt/Mach 1 brakes which is basically the same stuff just different paint schemes.

go to www.gefracing.com to see all of them.

The fronts are a basic bolt on mod.

The rears are a little different, you need to remove the axles and change the mounting brackets on the car to accept the rear calipers.

The rear calipers though are the same on all models except that the Rotors are bigger! That is all!

She'll get a speeding ticket, quite out simply. Say the circumfrence of your stock tire is 2 feet. Say the new one is 3 feet. Well, basically for every 3 feet you're moving, the car thinks you're moving 2 feet, thus an under-rated speedo. But my opinion - ditch the 20's and make the car not as much of a rice rocket.

hmm ok, does that mean she is putting more or less miles on the car's odometer than she is actually driving?

Ohh yeah, well i would love to put some cobra's on it...but its her car. not mine...

what can be used to fix this?
