I can get a UPR X-pipe shipped to my door for considerably less than 1/2 the price of a Magnaflow. Will I get 1/2 the performance? Are the gains from this style of X-pipe (2 pipes welded against each other to form the X instead of a seperate stamped "X" like Magnaflow) worth my time and money?

I'm going with a blower in January or Febuary while the car is in storage for winter so I'm not concerned about an extra 1 or 2 horsepower. I know the Magnaflow is stainless, but my car is garaged and WILL NOT see the snow.

Thanks!

I hate diggin up an old thread, but I have the same question Nick had... How do the power and 1/4 mile gains of the UPR compare to other x-pipes? What can I expect? Thanks

Yeah, I saw this thread and then I noticed it was my old post :)

I have long since installed the UPR pipe and it fit very well, sounds great and I think it gave me some gains, but I haven't been to the track because I live in Indiana and they close early.

:OT: But nick do you like your 3.73's. I just want to hear both sides, like do u wish you had gone 4.10's or what. I also still wanna hear an exhaust clip of someones UPR. Thanks
Matt

lol, you guys need to search. I just made a thread recently about my UPR X-pipe, and I know there are many others. You'll find out everything you want to know about the power gains and the way it sounds.
