UPR's X-Pipe questions

I'm finally getting ready to yank out my stock catted H-pipe this spring and replace it with an off road X pipe. I've been looking around for a while and did some reading on UPR's X. I don't want to spend any more than around $150. I'm running Ford Racing's ceramic coated shorties with Flowmaster 40 series mufflers.

Anyone have any experience with the UPR Products X-pipe? Performance, Sound quality, etc?

Thanks in advance

Yep, I have it. It fits a bit different than the ancient off-road h I had on the car before. One thing to remember with an X (this one at least) is that there aren't any hangers on the x-pipe itself and you have to lift it when you're tightening everything up or it'll hang low. Overall I'm pretty happy for the little that it cost. It smoothed out the exhaust sound a bit, cut down on the BOOM at cruise speeds of 60-65. I'd give it a :nice:

i have this xpipe with my magnaflow and have a lil clip with it , i still should make another clip. but personally i dont like it that much any more cause it hangs too low, we pushed it up as high and got it as tight as possible and i scratch over every freakin bump, its only the flange that scrapes but still, but other then that it sounds amazing in person i think. I might end up ditching it tho to get the VRS which essentially is the same as the Dr. gas and even supposibly where UPR got its design from.

my car is lowered tho with i think a 1.5in drop

Follow-Up:

I picked up the UPR O/R X-pipe from Texas Hotrods, $155 shipped. Great piece!
I had a guy with a ton of hot rod exhaust experience install it for me. Everything's tucked up nice and tight and he even welded on new hangers for the missing ones.

I absolutely love it. I noticed an increase in power too (or is it just pschological because it sounds so bad-a** now?).

Thanks for the advice :nice:
