use the old heads or rebuild them?

rebuild the old heads?

i'm getting my engine rebuild for 10-14lb s/c.. i already got some of the parts: DSS low comp pistons, main support, windage tray, 7qt oil pan... and now i'm deciding what other parts to buy...
becuase i don't have money for new heads i'm just gonna use the old ones... i plan to get new heads this winter but since then i thought i should use the stock ones...
my mechanicis suggesting me to buy new valve seals, springs... i don't know what to do because i don't see any point to rebuild the old heads and use them for 3-4 months...
so should i rebuild the old heads for couple of months or just use them the way they are?

New seals and springs wouldn't hurt and depending on the cam you choice you may need springs anyway. Things come up this way if you can't swing the heads a few months down the road atleast you have a good reliable set. Who wants a new motor with leaky seals that cause the new motor to burn oil....
