Yeah, I hang out in the 94-95 forums alot and I have seen maybe one thread in the last year or so that had some anti-V6 sentiment to it. For the most part there are some pretty cool guys over there; much like this forum there are a handful of douche bags though

And yes, if you go back to 1964 to early 70s, the six cylinder Mustang boosted sales and helped make the car what it is today. Without the six, the Mustang may never have made it into the 80s and beyond.

Actually the six cylinder sales are what needed boosting in the early years. With such a high demand for 289's, Ford couldn't produce enough V8's, but at the same time they wanted to sell the millionth Mustang during the second model year('66). So Ford started an advertising campaign to promote the six; "Six and the single girl".

i can understand that, i drive a v6, and i race GT's all the time, but they are friends of mine and we just do it for the hell of it.....and i think you meant to say, that as long they dont drive a stock v6 and want to race you

I have no problem racing a 6. I'm sure that just want to see what my car can do, and hear it. Then again, I've had a few pricks think they beat me because I was just driving along behind them, pacing them, and then they went up to about 100 in a 40 limit, and I let off. I'm not going to risk a huge ticket to prove I can keep up with anyone!!
