vacuum correct with f cam.

will the f cam make only 14-16 inches of vacuum. i was trying to adjust the carb today and the gauge had a fast irratic reading between that range while i adjusted the carb, but i think it's the cam. i don't think i have a leak. is this correct

sounds about right... for your best vac reading set idle @ about 800 rpm (will loose some choppiness) make sure your timing is correct & spray a little ether (carb cleaner/ brake cleaner) around vac hoses & you manifold to locate any leaks.
