Vacuum hose to where??

Short history:
My mom brought her car by work. Rough idle, so I listened under the hood. I heard a major vacuum leak. Found that the hose near the vapor canister solenoid was melted through (resting on the metal EGR valve tube). cut 1/2" off tube and re-attached it to to the solenoid. Problem fixed.

My question is:
where does this vacuum hose go to?? It looks like it runs behind the intake manifold. Does it attach to a port on the manifold or does it go somewhere else?

EDIT: On second thought, the only vacuum lines that run behind the manifold usually go to it. There should be a big one that attaches to a port on the elbow of the upper intake, then there should be another one that runs to a port underneath the upper intake, after a tee-connection. There should be 3 vacuum ports on the upper:

1) is the PCV, it runs from the PCV screen at the back of the lower, to the port underneath the upper, facing the passenger side of the car.

2) There is a fairly large line running from the vacuum tree to a port on the underneath of the upper, facing towards the rear of the car.

3) runs from the number 2 line on a tee-connection.

I don't have a book for her car yet. I was just wondering where it went, it's not disconnected or anything.

However she's still having problems with it stalling when sitting in traffic or braking under low RPM. I've got a code reader for my OBD1 '94 ranger. Will it work on her '95 Mustang or is she OBD2?

5.0 mustangs are OBD1, it should work.
 
The vapor purge solenoid will release stored vapors into the intake when conditions are appropriate. On my fox, the hose goes to the front of the upper intake (plenum), but space is tight on the 94-95 intakes right there, so it likely goes elsewhere into the upper (in the back). This is just my conjecture.

The vapor cannister should be in the pass fender if future issues arise.

A stockish motor should pull 15-20" hg of vac at idle. Below ~ 12" can affect the brake booster functionality.

A Miti Vac tool can be useful for finding leaks.

There are only 3 sources of vacuum on the stock intake. 2 and underneath the intake manifold, on opposite sides of the intake. One is a big nipple, the other is a small nipple.

The other source is on the vacuum tree on the intake adapter. That has 3 or 4 ports on it.

If all of them are being used, you need to get a Y and tap in.

On the SN95s the EVAP canister runs to one of the two vacuum ports located on the underside of the upper intake manifold. The other connection under the intake manifold is the PCV line that runs to a "T" connector with the tube connected to the vacuum port of the lower rear plenum, and then on the throttle body elbow there is a small vacuum tree that has the firewall vacuum hose attached (the big hose), the fuel pressure regualtor, and the EGR vacuum source.
