Valve covers to fit 95 GT?

Doesn't anyone make a direct fitting valve cover without any fitment issues besides the stock ones?

I'd like to put on some fancier covers once I put on my Explorer/GT40 intake and GT 40 heads, but I keep hearing there are fitment issues because of the alt bracket and the elbow extension off the intake?

Doesn't anyone make a set that is direct fit?

Certainly Ford must have made some for these cars too?

Why do most catalogs only list mustangs from 86-93' as the only years that most of the valve covers will fit?

Does Ford Motorsports actually make ANY to fit a 94-95 Mustang 5.0?

Ok......but how do guys put roller rockers in and require taller valve covers if clearance is the issue?

I purchased an Explorer/GT 40 intake to put on my 95' GT and now I'm concerned about fitment/clearance issues with the hood???

I know that phenolic spacer used in conjucntion willl cause clearance issues with the stock hood......no big deal.....just don't use one......but the valve covers are kind of a problem?

If you have the GT40/Explorer intake, and you do not run the elbow on the manifold, you can use the Fox body headers b/c you will have a Fox style set-up.

If you are concerned about clearance issues, assuming you are not running a huge roller rocker, just call Anderson Ford and ask about the clearance.

You are putting too much thought into all of this

If you stick with ped rockers ... which all OEM iron heads run ;)

You'll be fine with the OEM vc's :nice:
cause
There are several options of rr's which will fit

You can even go to the 1.72 ratio with the OEM Crane Cobra rr's

NOW

If you wanna go stud mount
then
The stud sticks up too high for the OEM vc's

Fox body vc's work great cause they allow more room yet keep a low profile

OEM and TFS upper intakes sit closer to the lower intake
than
Those offered in the Edelbrock line of intakes

You see a lot of peeps go for the less cost of TFS over Edel's

Then again ... with the TFS offerings ... you usually need a spacer
where as
With the Edel offerings ... you can get by without a spacer a lot of the time

I guess you gotta add up the difference with each choice and see
how it prices out with each option

I used Fox body vc's with my AFR 165's, Scorpion 1.6 stud mount rr's,
and Edel RPM intake and neeeded no spacer

I did have to modify the oil splash baffle and filler neck a bit

It was nothing too serious and only required plain old common sense
to clearence things as needed

Bottom Line is :)

When you run the SN tb setup ... you have to keep a low profile on
your choice of vc or you most likely are gonna have to use a spacer

Tons and Tons of threads have been done on the VC issues here
and on all the other Stang sites :Word:

There is no way you could NOT find ... specific ... info on any brand
of rr you might be thinking about using :nono:

Hope this helps or gives you some ideas to think about

Ok. For the most part, I won't be running any different aftermarket rocker arms. I am merely looking for a fancier valve cover to dress up my engine compartment. I will be installing a set of GT 40 ported and polished heads with the explorer/gt 40 intake.

I just looking for a nice valve cover to finish it off without having bracket/fitment issues.

will the fox body valve covers work on the sn95's? Ford Racing doesn't even list the application?

Am I reading more into this than need be....just get a set of 93' valve covers and bolt them on??

I finally switched to Trick Flow valve covers. They clear stud rockers and fit fine. Fox valve covers would not fit on my car. The alternator didn't even come close to clearning on the right valve cover.
