What kind of max revs should I expect from out of the box heads. I heard Victor jrs. are nice just the way they are. I am hoping to build my 347 with these heads, but will they handle 7000rpms.

Best see what springs they installed... there are a lot of venders that will buy a bare head and then install their stuff... nothing wrong there, but that means they might need to be checked for your applicartion... cool>??

Just me.............................

the vic jr heads are good to 7500rpm out of the box guarenteed. I talk to the sales rep and asked if you need to upgrade them for more rpm and he says that usally depends on the cam. But say your cam is good for more rpm and you have a good valve train the tech rep said the springs on the vic jr's should be able to see 8500rpm with no issues of valve float.

Thanxs for the feedback. I guess I'll keep them as is. I am using a comp pro magnum roller rocker 1.6. Thinking about using Extreme Energy Cam, something that will allow close to 600 lift without going over.
