does anyone know how to bypass the vapor canister? It is underneath the passenger side fender. There is no inspection in Iowa and mine got sawed through while taking a fender off. Will this mess up my check engine light or computer? Why spend 80 bucks if you dont have too.

It's more than an emissions component, it's a way to properly vent the gas tank. The charcoal canister keeps the noxious gas fumes out of the passenger cabin, and lets face it, the flammable part of gasoline is the vapors. I'd keep the canister if I was you as it takes those vapors and burns them in the combustion chambers. If you don't have a salvage yard near you, check ebay or use this website http://www.getusedparts.com/ as I've gotten a good price on parts from some of the people who reply.
