versailles rear end tire fit ????

Hey Yall; What the biggest tire can you put in the rear on a 67 with a 77 lincoln versailles rear end ? Which is 3/4 " narrower than a stock 67 rear end.15" vs. 17" rims!.

275 40 17 fits with no problem. I'm running 285 45 17 on mine and have about 3/8" clearance on both sides and I have a Maier panhard bar to keep the rear from moving side to side.

you can use the same size tire no matter which rearend the car has, but you can use a better deeper dish wheel on the versailles rear
