vert questions

1... after reading the seatbelt thread, i am going to look at mine on my 88 saleen vert. they are slow to retract. i figure they need a good looking and cleaning/replacement. anyway, how do you remove the panels to get to them? looks like they are riveted. no prob, just needed an answer. 2.... how do you adjust the trunk lid? i cant seem to move it. i can adjust the gaps left and right. i need to move it twords the rear of the car. the body line is a little tight between the body and the trunk lid at the front. no big problem but i want to get it right.

If you are talking about the interior rear 1/4 panels. They are held in by 3 or 4 screws. You should be able to see 2 of them at the front near the door seam. One is at the rear obsecured by the rear seat back and 1 may be obscured by the 1/4 trim carpet. At least that is how it is on my 91 ( the panels are different). As far as adjusting the trunk lid, I am not sure. The hinges would limit forward and rear adjustment. I put a coupe lid on my vert and had to drill the holes so it was not an issue.
