Kind of depends on what your future plans are. Some have datalogging built into the controller, but if you ever plan on getting any kind of self tuner, you can just use a simpler guage and use the analog output to hook to the dataloger on your tuning software. If you aren't going with a self tuner, I would get one with dataloging built in. It can be difficult to read the wideband, rpms, and still drive under WOT so if you have a datalogger you can always go back and print a graph of your last run to look at your a/f through the rpm range.

This one I do not understand. You do not pick up psi just running through a cooler. Actually you will loose some if running any sort of IC or AC. The air will be denser, because the charge is cooler, but this will not change the actual amount of air flow, so blowing the fuse (which obviously can't happen, but I understand your point) will not change anything in terms of air movement.

Actually, blowing the fuse on my IC pump can and has happend. It's an electric water pump, some kits like Allen's use a mechanical pump.

As for the actual question, you are right, the airflow doesn't change, but like you said, running through a cooler will loose some psi (pressure). This is the reverse. If my intercooler stops cooling, that psi that was lost comes back. This all goes back to my point in the earlier post, that pressure (psi), temperature, and volume, are all proportionate. Since obviously the size of the intake tract can not change the volume is static. So a change in either of the other two (pressure, and heat) will effect the other.

You forgot to add, "Which is a total piece of crap!" Anyone I know who's ever bought the Allen Kit (myself included), has upgraded to the Lightnings Bosch electric water pump. Even Allen offers the upgrade now at little extra cost. The mechanical one is alright on the fly, but doesn't provide enough circulation at idle and low speed to sufficiently draw the heat out of the system. The air charge gets stale in a hurry in stop and go traffic or a hot day at the track. :notnice:
